The famous Skerries sand bank lies just a few miles away from Brixham along the coast.

It is a great place to catch flatfish with Plaice being the main species caught.

The Skerries bank and its close surroundings are home to a great number of species, here are the different species caught from                   fishing here.

Plaice, Dab, Turbot, Brill, Blonde ray, Small eyed ray, Spotted ray, Undulate ray, Thornback ray, Tub gurnard, Red gurnard, Grey gurnard, Bullhuss, Dogfish, Whiting, Pouting, Smooth hound, Spurdog, Tope, Bass, Black bream,  Red mullet, Conger, Mackerel, Launce, Herring, Garfish, Pollock, Sunfish, Cuckoo wrasse, Cuttlefish, Octopus, Spider crab, Edible crab, Lobster, Poor cod.
